The steel from the kitchen freezer is just not cold, such a crap freezer. It was most likely maybe just -2-3 celcius.
now get some thicker steel and put it in a REAL freezer Wich are -18 and then try.
i had accidents like this all the time growing up here in Norway.
the zipper on my jacket, whatever it was always freezed immediately.
scariest stuff was when it was -35 celcius and getting your lip stuck , bled all that like some herpes wound.

Boys that frozen metal test won't work in Australia the air is too warm once the metal come out of the freezer. Come to where I live I Canada and try that in January outside… it will work only too well. To unstick you sometimes need hot water go break to connection. I think every 10 year old Canadian boy has tried this at least once.
